Primary 6/7 - Friday 30th January

Primary 6/7 have had a fantastic week with lots of great learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • We really enjoyed the first week of our new timetable with Mrs Robertson joining us in our class
  • Lots of us enjoyed practising our Scottish ceilidh dancing in PE as we practised for our Burns Supper event.
  • Our Primary 7s continued to enjoy their online Spanish transition lesson with the focus this week on learning how to say the names of pets/animals as well as how to ask and answer questions about whether you have pets at home

However, our main event this week was our amazing Burns Supper as we did lots or rehearsals and then performed it for our local DISCO group (Seafield Senior Citizens). It is always wonderful to perform our poems, songs, dancing, etc for our community group and it was very positive and successful again this year. We all really enjoyed taking part in this brilliant event and singing our fantastic Scottish songs so enthusiastically. We also really enjoyed doing our Scottish dancing at the event and reciting Scottish poems as well as sharing some of our own Scottish poems. The DISCO group thoroughly enjoyed the event and gave us lots of positive comments and messages about how much they appreciated and loved the fantastic effort of the children.

A massive well done to Primary 5/6 and Primary 6/7 for their hard work and excellent performance of the Burns Supper.

Our school value award winners for this week are Harris and Mason. Congratulations!

Well done P6/7 for a magnificent, busy week. Have a lovely weekend.
