Primary 2/3 Friday 21st November
We have had a great week this week in P2/3. It has been both Road Safety Week and Scottish Book week and we have participated in activities relating to both. We also had a Rights Respecting morning on Friday where we took part in activities in different classrooms and outside, learning about children’s rights.
Tickled Pink
- We enjoyed having our Junior Road Safety Officers visit our class and talk about keeping safe when we are out and about. We had a colouring competition to do and will find out next week who the P1 to P3 winners are.
- We enjoyed reading and taking part in activities relating to Scottish Book week. We all got a bookbag this week and these were handed out to us by Mrs Denholm’s Granny!!!! We enjoyed meeting her and we liked having her visit our school.
- We enjoyed learning our tricky words this week, playing different games to help us learn.
- We were very excited to get our parts for the Nativity and learning the songs.
- We got our reward for winning the school honeycomb challenge last term , we got to watch part of Sing 2 in the hall as a treat. We will get to watch the rest of it on the last week of term.
Green for Growth
- Some of us are still finding counting collections of coins tricky. We need to keep practicing coins them and being able to identify how much each coin is worth. Remember we don’t have a 3p coin or a 7p coin.
- Keep working on counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s.
- We need to try really hard to take care of our resources, we have had 2 glue sticks without lids and quite a few whiteboard pens and felt pens also missing lids.
Our Lead Learners this week were Elodie for being Respectful and Harriet for being Ambitious – Well done girls.
