Primary 6/7 - Friday 10th October 2025

Primary 6/7 have had a great week in school with lots of wonderful learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • We really enjoyed finishing off our character description writing as we felt there was great focus and lots of us managed to complete at least two character descriptions
  • We enjoyed our assembly practice as we feel we are making progress and look forward to sharing this with our parents and carers next week
  • Many of us enjoyed learning new strategies for dividing by two digit numbers and trying out these strategies in the work that we were doing
  • We also really enjoyed our Art lesson as we continued creating our own artwork in the style of Keith Haring
  • Lots of us enjoyed our developing our skills for handball in PE
  • Many of us enjoyed our work in French with Mrs Flynn
  • Some of the Primary 7s who were in the Primary 6/7 class last year, had their bike checks for their Bikeability course and enjoyed taking part in this
  • Then class enjoyed welcoming PC Henderson to the class this week to hear his advice and guidance on fireworks and bonfires

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)

  • Some of us found the work in Maths with dividing by two digit numbers, quite tricky and a little confusing
  • Some of us found Maths work with Mrs Flynn, when we were creating 3d shapes, to be difficult especially with the cutting out and sticking the shapes together

Our lead learners for this week were Georgia, Matthew, Archie and Annie.

Our school value award winners for this week are Emma-Jo and Harris. Congratulations!

Well done for a fantastic week, P6/7. Have a lovely weekend.
