Primary 6/7 - Friday 3rd October
Primary 6/7 have had a fantastic week with lots of great learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:
Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):
- We really enjoyed Outdoor Learning as it was fun going for a walk around Seafield Law
- We enjoyed Writing as we felt we included a lot of great descriptive language in our character descriptions and made great progress
- We thoroughly enjoyed our last golf session in PE as we demonstrated our excellent progress
- We also really enjoyed our Art lesson as we started to create our own artwork in the style of Keith Haring
- Lots of us enjoyed our work in Maths as we made wonderful progress with our division work
- Many of us enjoyed our Adobe Express session on Wednesday about Black History Month and we created a document to illustrate the Underground Railroad
- Lots of the Primary 7s enjoyed their high school visit on Thursday evening and getting the chance to meet some of their future teachers
- Some of our class really enjoyed our Rights Respecting School Steering Group meeting as we felt it was very productive
Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)
- Some of us found the work with shapes in Maths to be a bit tricky partly due to not demonstrating great listening skills
- Some of us found our class assembly preparation a bit tricky and this is something we will work on much more next week
Our lead learners for this week were Harvey, Amelia, Archie and Annie and they set the following targets for our class; Don’t talk back, Try to finish all of your tasks and Don’t argue with the teacher. The wonderful news is that our lead learners noticed lots of people meeting those targets this week. Well done!
Our school value award winners for this week are Georgia and Matthew. Congratulations!
Well done for an excellent week, P6/7. Have a lovely weekend.
