3rd October 2025 Primary 2/3

We have had a very busy week in P2/3

Tickled Pink

  • We painted trees using broccoli, cotton buds , lego, tin foil and bubble wrap. We created our very own Autumn picture.
  • Emma and Rory came to visit from West Lothian Museums to show us and games from long ago. They let us keep a Victorian spinning top, a metal hoop and rail and a moving picture show. It was very interesting. We enjoyed playing with all of the toys and learned that they are very different and they were not made from plastic. Some of the toys were very old. Some of the toys were wooden and none of them had any batteries or used electricity. Children did not have many toys long ago and had to use their imagination.
  • We were working on fractions and counting in 10’s.

Green for Growth

  • Some really hard sums- working out if its an add or take away.
  • Keep working on everyone sitting still on the carpet – and not chatting.
  • Some of our work on quarters has been tricky this week.
  • We are all going to try really hard at tidy up time to work together and make sure our class is nice and tidy!
