P2/3 Friday 5th September

We’ve had another super week in P2/3.  It was great to see so many of our family members come and join us for our Family Breakfast and we really enjoyed working with our adults in the classroom and showing them around.

Tickled Pink (things that we think went well)

  • We all worked very hard when we were writing about Our Classroom and we shared our writing with the P3/4 class.
  • We’ve already started learning about Seafield in the Past but the P6 pupils helped us write down more questions we could ask the DISCO group when they come to visit our class.
  • Our outdoor learning had a literacy focus this week and we were finding objects which started with different letters of the alphabet and finding objects that rhyme.
  • We were focussing on developing our collaborative skills during play.

Green for Growth (things we need to do to improve our learning)

  • We found joining some letters tricky during our Handwriting task and this is something we will need to practise more.
  • We worked in random groups of 3 to complete a numeracy challenge (rich task) and although we were good at collaborating, we found it tricky to share our thinking,  We will try the same task again with different numbers and see if we can get better at this.

Lead Learner Update

Our Lead Learners this week were Ava and Rose.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
