P1 Friday 21st March 2025

Tickled Pink:

• We had lots of fun going on a Bug Hunt on Monday for Outdoor Learning. We worked with a partner to search for bugs and capture them in our bug viewers. The magnifying glass let us have a closer look at the bug and then we ticked it off our sheet and released the bug back to its natural habitat.
• We started learning about Time this week in Maths and had lots of fun making our own watches and playing new games. We are focusing on o’clock and have been learning about analogue clocks – identifying the face and hands.

 

Green for Growth:

• Some children found fact families in maths a bit tricky – we will continue to practise this.
• For topic we were learning about where foods come from – plants or animals… we had lots of discussion about different foods and sometimes it was a bit difficult working out where it came from, some foods come from a mixture of plants and animals.
