Seafield Snippets Friday 6th November 2026

This week, we held our first Hub Group Assembly, where pupils proudly shared the fantastic work, they have been doing as part of their Hub Groups. It was wonderful to see children demonstrating leadership, creativity and teamwork as they work together to make a positive difference across our school community. Our Hub Groups help bring our School Improvement Plan to life by giving children meaningful opportunities to use their voice, influence positive change and develop resilience through leadership, teamwork and real-life problem solving.

Each group has an action plan; here are some of our successes so far:

P1/2 Wellbeing Warriors have been exploring ways to help others stay active and healthy. They have been trying out different activities that they hope to share with other classes and have also been discussing the idea of making and selling healthy snacks for their buddies to enjoy.

P2/3 Community Connectors have been learning more about the local community and are playing an important role in promoting our upcoming Reading Event on Thursday 12th November. They have designed eye-catching posters which they showcased at the assembly and will soon be displaying around the school.

P3/4 Achievement and Aspirations Ambassadors have been considering how we celebrate success at Seafield. They have created a survey which will be shared with classes to gather views on how achievements are recognised across the school. We look forward to hearing the results and using pupil voice to help shape future developments.

P5/6 Relationship Champions have been focusing on ways to support positive friendships and playtimes. They will soon begin training to help support younger pupils in the playground and are working with myself to explore the purchase of a Friendship Stop. They are also teaching playground games to younger children and have started an exciting project to create a new school song. With three songs currently in development, pupils throughout the school will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite version.

P6/7 Learning Innovators have been thinking carefully about what makes an excellent lesson and how learning experiences can be made even better for everyone. They are exploring ways to gather pupil feedback and share their ideas with staff to help enhance learning and teaching across the school.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, creativity and leadership being shown by all our Hub Groups. We look forward to sharing further updates as their projects continue to develop throughout the year.

Finally, Mrs Flynn is looking forward to welcoming our P1-P3 parents and carers to our Book Gifting Event on Thursday 12th November at 2.30pm, where families will have the opportunity to share gifted stories and activities with their child, helping to strengthen our partnership with families and foster a lifelong love of reading.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
