Seafield Snippets Friday 9th October 2026
We have been working hard across the school this week and are proud of the enthusiasm and commitment shown by our pupils.
One of the highlights of the week was our second Pupil Council meeting of the term. Building on the excellent work already underway, the Pupil Council further developed their ideas around promoting sharing across the school. As part of this work, they have designed a pupil-friendly questionnaire to gather the views of children from across the school and identify areas where classes feel they can continue to develop their sharing skills and qualities.
Following the October break, the Pupil Council will meet again to analyse the results of the questionnaire and use this feedback to inform their next steps. This will include further planning around assemblies and exploring new strategies to encourage effective sharing throughout our school community. It has been fantastic to see our pupils taking such an active role in leading improvement and ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard.
A huge congratulations to our P6/7 pupils for their delivery of an amazing and extremely informative assembly! The school performance and parental performances were outstanding.
We have also been preparing for our upcoming Bikeability Level 2 training. Bike checks were carried out this week to ensure that all participating pupils are ready to begin their sessions. The training will start next week and continue after the October break for the second group of pupils. All pupils will have been told whether they are part of group 1 or 2. We are looking forward to seeing our pupils build their confidence, develop important cycling skills and learn how to stay safe while travelling on their bikes.
Looking ahead, we are excited to be preparing for our Harvest Assembly. As part of this, we will once again be supporting our “We Scare Hunger” initiative and collecting donations for our harvest collection. On Friday 30th October, pupils are invited to dress up or dress down if they wish and bring along a food pantry item to donate. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help support those in our local community who may need a little extra help. We would like to thank families in advance for their continued generosity and support.
As always, we are incredibly proud of the teamwork, leadership and positive attitude demonstrated by our pupils.
