Primary 5/6 - Friday 18th September 2026

We have had a busy week this week and Lead learners Jacob and Sofia have been keeping an eye out to see who is demonstrating our school values.

Tickled Pink –

• We were working hard on our sewing tasks.
• We were being creative as we began thinking about our Edinburgh Airport competition entry – We have to design a sustainable airport that will be inclusive for all.
• Rounding and estimating activities, we are quite confident with these tasks and know why it is important to be able to estimate.
• Our Reading book activities and creating our design for an ebay/ amazon advert.
• PE – Basketball
• We created 3D shapes and made them into Angry Birds.

Green for Growth-

• Mental maths was quite tricky for some who forgot different ways of solving a problem.
• Some of our spelling words were tricky this week  – erosion, excursion we need to practice our spelling and  vocabulary. We will be using dictionaries to help us understand meanings of tricky words.
• Writing was a bit tricky this week – Our title was the Playground Problem – some of us found it tricky to get started.
