It has been another busy week at school, with lots of exciting opportunities and experiences for our children to enjoy.
Our Learners Breakfasts have got off to a fantastic start. It has been wonderful to welcome families into school to share our improvement priorities and welcome you into our classrooms to show off our fabulous learning. Thank you to everyone who has attended so far and for the lovely feedback we have received. If you have not yet shared your thoughts with us, we would really appreciate hearing from you. Your feedback is incredibly important and helps us to shape and improve future events for our school community.
This week, children also enjoyed The M and M Show, which was a huge success. Pupils spoke very positively about the performance and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our P6/7 class had the bonus of taking part in a behind-the-scenes workshop, giving them a unique insight into the work that goes into creating and delivering a performance. A huge thank you to our Parent Council for supporting this opportunity and helping to provide such a memorable experience for our children.
We were also delighted to welcome Destination Judo into school. Pupils had a fantastic time taking part in the sessions, learning new skills and challenging themselves in a fun and engaging environment. Experiences like these help to build confidence, resilience and teamwork, and it was wonderful to see the children so enthusiastic and involved.
A gentle reminder regarding drop-off and pick-up arrangements. To support pupils in developing confidence and independence, we generally ask that adults do not remain in the upper playground unless they need to settle a child or speak with a member of staff. This also helps staff to supervise pupils effectively and ensures a smooth, positive start to the school day. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome families to our next round of Learners Breakfasts for P3/4 and P6/7 next week.
Have a lovely weekend!
