Friday 12th June 2026 Primary 2/3

We have had another busy week this week where we have been developing our data handling skills, writing about how to make a cress sandwich, planning our shoe box garden competition entry. We were also being scientists recording results of experiments we devised to answer the big question – ” Do seeds only grow in soil? ”

Tickled Pink –

  • We were able to sort and tally various minibeasts then create a block graph.
  • We enjoyed making and eating cress sandwiches!
  • Working in our home groups to finalise our designs for our shoebox garden- we enjoyed starting to decorate the outside of the box with different materials.
  • Investigating minibeasts – using pooters in outdoor learning
  • Learning about pond habitats.
  • Decorating our Scottish Football Team signs for Sports day.

Green for Growth –

  • We found our problem solving task quite tricky this week but we showed resilience and didn’t give up!
  • Making sure we continue to form our letters correctly, make them sit correctly on the line and remember not to doodle on our pages.
  • To continue to demonstrate all of our school values.
