Primary 6/7 - Friday 5th June
Primary 6/7 have had a fantastic week in school with lots of great learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:
Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):
- We all enjoyed our focus on grammar during our reading comprehension work this week
- The children in our class who attend the after school football club thoroughly enjoyed the session on Thursday this week and many children also feel that football during breaks has been going very well this week
- The children involved in our Rights Respecting Gold accreditation day yesterday, all felt that it went well and that they all spoke positively about children’s rights in our school during the interview sessions
- We all really enjoyed our art activity with Mrs Flynn about Scotland’s participation in the forthcoming World Cup, some of us creating excellent artwork and others making wonderful Adobe Express digital posters
- We all really felt that we are making great progress with our singing for the P7 leavers assembly, making some sensible changes to lyrics
- Our Primary 7s feel that they are rehearsing well for their leavers assembly
- Our P7s who were at high school on Thursday afternoon really enjoyed the treasure hunt activity that they took part in to help them navigate around the high school building
Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)
- Some people felt that there were some of the class not being very responsible in class on Wednesday when there were different teachers in P6/7
- Some of the children also felt that some people were not being responsible during our assembly rehearsals
Our school value award winners for this week are Niamh and Jake. Massive congratulations to them!
Well done P6/7 for a wonderful week in school. Have a lovely weekend and see you all next week.
