Primary 6/7 - Friday 29th May

Primary 6/7 have had a wonderful week in school with lots of enjoyable learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • We all enjoyed Maths this week as we started a new topic and we were able to understand ratio and proportion and the language that should be used for each of these processes in Maths
  • We enjoyed going to the Bud Bus yesterday as we learned a lot about Poppy Scotland and how they try to help and support people in the armed forces, veterans and their families
  • We all enjoyed getting some free time this week when it was very hot in the classroom so that we could get some fresh air and a little time outdoors
  • We really enjoyed reading our class novel, “The Night Bus Hero” as we nearly reached the end of the book and we also enjoyed doing some comprehension work linked to this story
  • Our Primary 7s feel that they have done some very good work on getting their Leaver’s Assembly script together and we did well working as a large P7 group with the teacher to edit and finalise the script.
  • Our Primary 6s are continuing to enjoy working on their projects because they are getting more work done on them and are now and adding good detail
  • We all enjoyed playing games in PE as we are able to demonstrate our control and passing skills
  • Our P7s who took part in the Maths quiz at Deans High really enjoyed taking part and were very happy that they did so well in the competition and came third
  • Many of us enjoyed our Health & Wellbeing, Relationships and Sexual Health lessons this week as we were learning new facts and information

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)

  • Some people felt that there were some of the class not being very responsible during our Health & Wellbeing lessons and being a bit silly

Our school value award winners for this week are Kyle and Mason. Massive congratulations to them!

Well done P6/7 for a fantastic week in school. Have a lovely weekend and see you all next week.
