Primary 6/7 - Friday 22nd May
Primary 6/7 have had a fantastic week in school with lots of great learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:
Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):
- Our Primary 7s feel that they have been making good progress and working hard on the script for their Leavers’ Assembly
- We enjoyed moving on to playing games in our focus on football in PE to try to demonstrate the ball control, dribbling and passing skills that we have been working on
- We all felt that practising the songs for our Leavers’ Assembly has improved this week with better singing and volume and good ideas for the rhythm of the lyrics
- We all felt positive about our peer assessment and marking of our work with Time in Maths with good focus and discussion of the reasons for answers
- Our Primary 6s are continuing to enjoy working on their projects because they are getting more work done on them and are now and adding good detail
- Our Rights leaders are feeling positive about the presentation that they created to speak to all classes in school about and are confident that they have included a lot of very important information about Children’s Rights
- Most of us felt positive about our comprehension work with Mrs Bain and were positive that there was good focus and progress made in these literacy activities
Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)
- Some people felt that there were a number of people not being responsible and respectful when we had a lesson with Reverend Boyd this week
- Some of us felt that the texts were a little unusual and difficult to understand in our comprehension work
- A few people were being a little silly with soundboards when using devices
Our school value award winners for this week are Sebastian and Georgia. Massive congratulations to them!
Well done P6/7 for a great week in school. Have a lovely weekend and see you all next week.
