Tickled Pink

• For outdoor learning we used the stimulus of ‘James and the Giant Peach’ to create minibeast hotels. We designed them with a partner before we left school and thought about which creatures to attract and how. We then went to Deanburn Gardens and created the hotels with the same partner. The results were fantastic, we are very proud of our hard work.
• In writing we have started learning how to write an explanation report. We learned how a wind turbine creates electricity from wind power and wrote about it in our jotters.
• Mrs Flynn started teaching us Spanish and we learned how to say the colours. We used this to complete some work which will continue next week.

Green for Growth

• We are continuing to learn about time, we have looked at the months, weeks and days of the year. This can be tricky because there are different numbers of days in each month and the problems we are solving mean we have to know them off by heart.

Lead learners this week are Frankie and Ellie.
