Seafield Snippets Friday 13th March 2026
Today we celebrated the end of our Science week with a school assembly, sharing the fabulous activities pupils had experienced across the week.
P1 shared their floating and sinking raisins experiment, making predictions about whether the raisins would float or sink.
P2/3 shared their fantastic models, they had to scientifically engineer them to be over 25cm tall, withstand wind for 1 minute and they had to light up.
P3/4 explored changing states in a very messy science experiment!
P5/6 explored physical reactions when carrying out mentos and coke experiment. They made predictions, recorded results and experimented with different cokes, containing different volumes of sugar.
P6/7 researched different famous scientists and made posters about chosen scientific topics, driven by the theme of Science week ‘be curious’
Once again, it was lovely to see families attending our learners breakfasts. I continued to share the progress we are making with our positive relationships policy and have now begun to create some visuals and actions to match our school values. I will be speaking to the pupil council about this further in the lead up to the Easter break. Actions and visuals will be launched after the break.
Feedback is always very welcome and this week, I was able to talk to families about how we celebrate our fantastic learners. It was suggested that each week updates were shared on our Snippets. With this in mind, please see below some fantastic news:
