Primary 6/7 - Friday 31st October
Primary 6/7 have had a wonderful first week back in school after the October break with lots of great learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:
Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):
- Lots of us really enjoyed our first online Mandarin lesson this week. We felt that it was really fun and fantastic to meet our Mandarin teachers online for our live lessons from across the world. We also really enjoyed learning about symbols and characters in Mandarin as well as amazing Chinese landmarks
- We enjoyed our Maths on Friday morning because it was linked to Halloween and not too tricky
- We were happy about our Seafield Scares Hunger day on Friday as lots of us enjoyed dressing up and we thought it was very important that we had collected food to help people in our community
- We also really enjoyed our outdoor learning this week as we were making skeletons from branches and other natural objects
- Many of us enjoyed our work on our class novel, “Kofi and the Rap Battle Summer”, as we learned more about the characters and the year 1994
Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)
- Some of us found the work in Literacy a little difficult as some of the questions about our class novel were a bit tricky
- Some of us found our break times outside a bit challenging this week as some people were struggling to be responsible in the playground which meant that we needed to have a focus on our school values back in the classroom
Our lead learners for this week were Henry and Isla, who collected the information about how we felt about our learning this week.
Our school value award winners for this week are Noel and Matilda. Congratulations!
Well done for a brilliant week, P6/7. Have a lovely weekend.
