P1 Friday 15th November

Tickled Pink:

  • We drew poppies on Remembrance Day and took part in the 2 minute silence. The children were really interested to learn about why people wear poppies and were very respectful.

  • We had our first nativity practice in the hall this week and the children were so excited to find out where they would be sitting and practising singing to the instrumental music.
  • We have been focusing on days of the week and singing them in order. The children are becoming more confident each morning when we discuss what day it is.
  • We started our new topic, People Who Help Us. This week we had some Police Officers visit the classroom and it was so exciting because we got to try on lots of police hats and uniform. We also have our own Police Station role play area in the classroom and the children have loved exploring it!

Green for Growth:

  • Some children found reading comprehension a bit tricky this week, they need to make sure they listen to the story as it tells us the answers.

Our Lead Learners next week are Junior and Lucy.

Have a great weekend,

Mrs Wallace!
