P1 Friday 4th October 2024

Tickled Pink:

• We have been focusing on 3D shapes again and had fun playing a game called ‘Corners’ during outdoor learning. We have also been stamping 3D shapes to find out about their faces.
• In literacy this week we have been focusing on vowels, a e i o u. We have been learning to read words that have a vowel in the middle like h-a-t or b-u-s.
• For topic this week we were doing Billy Goats Gruff and we had to work in a team to design and build a bridge to help the goats get across.

 

Green for Growth:

• Some children were finding it quite tricky to blend sounds together to read words – we will continue to practise this daily.
• We are learning how to count in French and are finding it a bit tricky to remember all the new words.
