Primary 6/7 - Friday 21st November 2025
Primary 6/7 have had a great week with lots of brilliant learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:
Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):
- Lots of us really enjoyed our Rights Day on Friday morning as we continued to learn about Children’s Rights and take part in fun activities. We also did a great job with supporting our younger learners as they were taking part in the activities. A big shout out to our Pupil Group for Children’s Rights who put in a lot of work preparing activities and supporting teachers and learners on Friday morning
- We really enjoyed our fourth Mandarin lesson this week as we learned about writing characters in Mandarin as well as the radicals which are part of these characters
- We all really enjoyed our learning with estimation and rounding in Maths as we focused well and made very good progress
- We also enjoyed our Outdoor Learning on Thursday as it was the first time that we were able to get down to the field and play together for a while
- Primary 7s really enjoyed their online transition lesson with the focus this week on History and learning about the ancient Maya and Aztec civilisations
- We enjoyed our PE session and continuing to develop our Tag Rugby skills
- Finally, we really enjoyed watching the goals from the Scotland game again on Wednesday and discussing which goal was the best from the fantastic game!!
Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)
- Some of us continued to find our Mental Maths work a bit tricky
- One of our reading groups in class is finding the reading book that they have chosen quite challenging, although it’s a great and very interesting story
- Some of us felt that writing that characters in Mandarin was quite difficult, especially the character that the Mandarin teachers showed us for “biang”, a type of flat noodle!
Our school value award winners for this week are Faith and Jake. Congratulations!
Well done P6/7 for a wonderful, busy week. Have a lovely weekend.
