Primary 2/3 Friday 14th November

Another busy but fun week in P2/3!

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • During Literacy Circuit, many of the class were able to demonstrate how much their blending skills have improved.
  • In Maths we made right angle finders and hunted for right angles in the classroom.
  • As it is Anti-Bullying Week across Scotland, we have been focussing on kindness.  Mrs Baird used one of the apples from her garden to show us that although we might look fine on the outside, we can be hurt on the inside by what people say and do to us.
  • We are doing a really good job of learning how to structure a recount text correctly and we were able to write a recount text about a day in P2/3.
  • We have been learning about different jobs and occupations and we drew about what job we would like to do when we grow up.

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)

  • From now on, we are going to really focus on kindness in the P2/3 class as we don’t want anyone to feel bruised and hurt on the inside like the apple.
  • We’ve started learning our nativity songs and are looking forward to more song rehearsals and learning our speaking parts next week.

Our school value award winners for this week are Rose for Ambition and Perri for kindness. Congratulations!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
