Primary 6/7 - Friday 7th November

Primary 6/7 have had a great week with lots of enjoyable learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • Lots of us really enjoyed our Art lesson when we were using cotton buds to practise pointillism and we had lots of fun trying different ways of creating artwork using this method
  • We all really enjoyed our buddying with the Primary 1s this week as it was lots of fun making the firework pictures with our buddies
  • We all really enjoyed our second online Mandarin lesson with our teachers from China and we are delighted that we can now count to ten in Mandarin
  • We also really enjoyed our online art lesson with the National Galleries if Scotland on Friday morning as it was great fun to learn how to make sculptures creatively with different materials
  • We are still really enjoying our class novel, “Kofi and the Rap Battle Summer”
  • The children who were taking part in the first Livingston North football event on Friday morning really enjoyed getting the chance to play games against other schools and it was brilliant to represent Seafield Primary School at the event

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)

  • Some of us found our work with scale in Maths a little tricky
  • Some of us found the other Maths work that we were doing this week on place value to be a bit difficult, however, some people also really enjoyed it

Our school value award winners for this week are Kyle and Zac. Congratulations!

Well done for an excellent week, P6/7. Have a lovely weekend.
