Friday 7th November 2025 P2/3
We have had a busy week this week with lots of learning going on in the class. We have also welcomed Mrs Page to our school and she has enjoyed visiting our classroom and getting to know us all a bit better at break and lunchtimes. It has been money week and we have been learning about the importance of money, recognising and using different coins and carrying out calculations. We also read a book called, “No Money Day” and talked about savings and Food Banks.

Tickled Pink
- We had great fun learning about our skeleton! We were finding out about bones and tried to feel different bones in our body. We then worked together to use masking tape to mark out where some of our bones are.
- We had good fun in PE working in pairs and talking to each other to complete different challenges. We used hoops to balance between our tummies and had to complete a course and put the hoop on a chair without using our hands.
- We started listening to our Nativity Songs this week!
- We came up with some possible ideas for rewards for winning the Honeycomb Playground award – we shared our ideas with Mrs Page and she will make a shortlist of 3. Next week we will vote!
Green for Growth
- We found money tricky this week and we would all benefit from handling money more, recognising different coins and notes and counting collections of different coins.
- It was tricky naming the 3D shapes this week. We need more practice.
- Writing a recount this week was a bit tricky! We wrote either about Halloween or Scare Hunger away and had to use words like….First…. Next….. Then…….After that. It was hard to remember to use these words.
