Seafield Snippets Friday 7th November 2025

It has been a real pleasure to spend my first week as Head Teacher at Seafield getting to know the children. I’ve been so impressed by how they are already demonstrating our school values of ambition, kindness, resilience, respect, and responsibility in all that they do.

I’m very much looking forward to working closely with families and getting to know all the children even better over the coming weeks. I’ll continue to share a weekly update on our school blog and a termly newsletter, which will be emailed out to families.

This week, the children have been sharing with me what they think is the best thing about Seafield — and it has been wonderful to hear their thoughtful and enthusiastic responses!

Next week, we will be focusing on our value of kindness as part of Anti-Bullying Week, exploring how we can all play a part in making Seafield a caring and supportive place for everyone.

Our Health and Well Being Mini Champs have been introducing pupils to our school HWB mascot, Pibble, the capybara. Pibble, has been visiting classrooms and this will continue next week.

Key dates for next week:

  • Monday: Tempest Photography will be in school – please see the previous letter, which will be resent today as a reminder.
  • Wednesday: Mini Champs meetings will be held in school online.
  • Thursday: Handball Festival for P5 pupils. Please see email sent to P5 parents/carers for more information.

Thank you for the warm welcome I’ve received so far – it’s been a fantastic start, and I’m excited for all that’s ahead.
