Primary 2/3 Friday 22nd August

We have had a super week in P2/3.  We are becoming more familiar with all the class routines and there has been lots of evidence of following our school values.

Tickled Pink (things that we think went well)

  • We started to create maps of our village so we can compare these to maps of what Seafield looked like years ago.
  • In outdoor learning we went on a scavenger hunt and looked for signs of Summer because we know that Autumn will be here soon and our local environment will be changing.
  • We enjoyed playing dice games where we had to add two numbers together and try and beat our partner’s score.
  • We learned about nouns, verbs and adjectives and were able to identify and highlight these in sentences.

Green for Growth (things we need to do to improve our learning)

  • We looked at the describing bubble as part of our writing and with more practice we will be able to use this to improve our writing.

Our values certificate winners this week were Charley for being ambitious and Junior for being responsible.  Mrs Denholm and I had such a difficult job of choosing two pupils because so many of the class were demonstrating our school values.  P2/3 have also won two honeycombs so far for their efforts in the playground.

A fabulous start to the year, long may it continue.

Have a great weekend everyone!
