Primary 6/7 - Friday 22nd August 2025

Primary 6/7 have had a great week in school, with lots of excellent learning activities in class as we pick up the pace of our new school year. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • Lots of us enjoyed our learning about the four operations in Maths. We started with addition this week and many of us felt that the tasks were at a very good level and neither too difficult or too easy
  • We enjoyed our reading comprehension work in Literacy this week as we explored the characters and plot of our new class novel, Divided City
  • We loved our first buddying session on Friday morning as it has been really enjoyable getting to know our buddies since we returned to school
  • We enjoyed our Writing task this week about imagining our perfect day as it allowed us choice to decide what we wanted to write about and how to plan the perfect day in our lives
  • Our new PE focus on golf has been really enjoyable as lots of the children have never played golf before and they are really happy to be trying something different
  • We also enjoyed our art activity as we designed and created our own personal crest to show the things that we love in our lives

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning):

  • Some of us found it a wee bit tricky as we have been getting to know our buddies and learning how to take care of them
  • Some of us also felt that we need a little more challenge with our addition work in Maths

Our school value award winners for this week are Faith and Che and they will set our class targets for next week.

Well done for an excellent week P6/7. Have a lovely weekend.
