Cyber Attack update

Investigation work has been ongoing into the impact of the council's education network as a result of the criminal attack.

Health Week in Seafield Primary

This week in Seafield Primary we had our Health Week.   We many different activities taking place throughout the week and it was lots of fun.

Monday

Our week started with sessions from One Mind Martial Arts Academy where we learned self defence skills.  This was followed by peaceful and calming sessions with Sonic Sister Sound Bath. This was something many of us had never experienced before and we found it so relaxing.

Tuesday

We had a great start to the day with a Fun Family Fitness session in the community centre run by our HWB Family Champion, Mr Mackenzie. Then during the remainder of the morning, we had football with the coach from West Lothian Football Academy.  We were developing our running and shooting skills. This was followed by exotic fruit tasting in the afternoon with Mrs McIntyre, our HWB Family Champ. Some of the fruits were more popular than others but hardly anyone liked the grapefruits!

Wednesday

Wednesday was our Xcite Day where 5 coaches from Xcite came to share different activities with us including Athletics, Basketball, Teambuilding and large scale play.  Almost everyone loved the axe throwing!

Thursday

Thursday was another very busy day.  We had sessions in the community centre with the Fire Brigade.  It was fun wearing the uniforms and racing to roll up the hoses. We also had Football Buzz, rugby and a visit to the bowling green for activities with coaches from Bowls Scotland. We really enjoyed the target games they brought for us.

Friday

Joanna Coull,  one of our parents came in on Friday to do fitness drills with us.  We found these incredibly hard but with extreme effort we pulled through.  PC Henderson visited all the classes in the school, discussing our school values and reminding us that we have the choice of how we live our lives.

Health Week was great fun with something for everyone and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to such a fantastic week in Seafield Primary.
