Seafield Snippets - 2nd May
I hope that everyone has had a good week! We’ve been really busy here at Seafield PS. Our P6 and P7 pupils have been off on their residential trip this week, spending time outdoors where they have enjoyed lots of activities and challenges. P3/4 had a super visit to the Riverside Transport Museum in Glasgow on Tuesday. We are lucky to have been allocated a block of music through the Youth Music Initiative and this will take place every Tuesday of this term. We had our first sessions this week and everyone really enjoyed it!
A reminder that school is closed for the May bank holiday on Monday 5th May and that Tuesday 6th May is a staff inset day therefore children resume on Wednesday 7th May. Hopefully the weather is kind to us over the long weekend and everyone enjoys some family time. Kind regards, Lynne Egan.
Coming up next week:
Monday 5th May – School and ELC closed
Tuesday 6th May – School pupils off; staff and ELC pupils resume
Thursday 8th May – Bikeability sessions start for P5/6 – parents will be emailed about which pupils are in the first block when we return on Tuesday
Quote for the week: Teaching children how to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best
