Primary 6/7 - Friday 25th April 2025
Primary 6/7 have had a great first week back in school after the spring break, with lots of great learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning:
Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):
- We enjoyed our learning about percentages in Maths because of the division, decimals and some quite challenging sums
- We enjoyed our last badminton session in PE this week as we played some doubles badminton games and then had fun with our (rather chaotic) last game with teams of around 10 v 10 on either side of the net
- We enjoyed our camp meeting because we found out about our groups and the activities that we are doing
- We enjoyed finishing off the preparation for our last class debate because we made sure that our speeches about the death penalty are finished and ready to go
- Our Primary 7 pupils enjoyed continuing the early stages of preparation for their leavers assembly whilst our Primary 6’s were enjoying their sports leader training
Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning):
- Some of us found our outdoor learning a bit tricky as we thought it was hard to create logos with sticks and other natural resources
- Some of us also felt that our new Writing genre (Explanation) was a bit tricky and confusing as there are definitely some similarities with Information Reports and Instructions/Procedure text types
Our school value award winners for this week are Calla and Brodie and they will set our class targets next week.
Well done for an excellent week first week back, P6/7. Have a lovely weekend.
