Seafield Snippets 25th April

What a quick week it has been!  It has been great to have everyone back after the Easter break.  The children have all returned in good spirits and have had a successful week of learning.  We had an assembly this morning and we talked about the importance of showing our values in school and in the playground and started off our new “SeaBee’s Playground Challenge.”  A few classes have already earned a honeycomb sticker in the challenge with each class competing against each other to get the most honeycombs and earn a reward.

We have loved having Mrs Mills back with us as she has joined the staff, taking P1 for the remainder of the school year.  As you know, she has worked in Seafield PS on a number of occasions over the years and really enjoys being part of our school community.  She is looking forward to getting the chance to meet P1 parents informally at the end of the day.  We send congratulations to Mrs Baird and her family on the safe arrival of a beautiful granddaughter.

Coming up next week:

Tuesday           P3/4 Class trip to Riverside Museum, Glasgow

Wed – Fri        P6 and P7 residential trip to PGL Dalguise

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!  Lynne Egan.

Quote for the week:  “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”
